Into the Streams series

Art has the power to heal, repair and protect. “Into the streams” are an always open door to your own escapism – a color that washes away the gray, a “safe space” filled with symbols and shapes that give you back your power over yourself but also a questioning of yourself. And what is a “safe space” anyway, if not a place of your own making?

Each painting provides different tools for viewers to create their own worlds. The series actively avoids full figuration in favor of abstract and symbolic forms to stimulate imagination and creativity of thought. Each “stream” is represented by a different technique, shape, color, or all of the above, connecting to the central theme of the painting.

When the figuration does appear, it serves as a hint and a new element that the viewer can use in their interpretation of the artwork. The titles are equally mysterious, offering insight into the underlying theme but allowing people to attach their own meaning to the words or come to their own conclusions. In this way, each work of art represents a unique safe space for each person, adapted to their imagination, memories and opinions – away from the problems of the real world.

“Into the streams” question the relationship between the material and immaterial world. Everything is fluid and elusive, yet structural. Just like thoughts, emotions and life courses. “Streams” depict the rhythm of eternal movement and transformation.

The artworks are made organically, directly on the surface, without plans, blueprints or sketches. The very process and methodology of creating the work is based on complete concentration in the present moment. Every move and every decision occurs in the very act of creation, without a pre-set plan.

In this process, there is simultaneous control and surrender – on the one hand, carefully directing the flow of the image, and on the other, allowing it to reveal itself, shape and lead its own rhythm.
